I grabbed some acrylic and had to use the Knitting Pattern Database app on my phone to find a pattern...
The Travellers Hat was the perfect fit. An easy but interesting pattern to follow by candlelight, camp stove..and thankfully daylight..
I wish I had some orange and white yarn as I then would have the colors of the clown fish Nemo... which was the name of the blizzard.
I'll leave you with some F/O (finally over) pictures from last weekend.. OH. btw..we are forcast for 6 more inches tomorrow...

After 36 hours, Ry finally got home for a nap. He was called back
work 4 hours later..but he had at least some down time..Fat Cat Jim had to keep him warm and snuggly. The beach erosion was
estimated at about 20 feet. We only average about 1 foot per year..so that's about 20 years worth of beach gone.. It doesn't come back. That's the price we pay for living on the Atlantic.
It's back to shoveling tomorrow..but I'll enjoy the sun today!

That last photo is very peaceful. Glad you made it out of the storm okay.
ReplyDeleteThat's to bad about the erosion...this next storm is going to miss us in CT, I believe, but maybe it is swinging more in your direction..
ReplyDeleteI wasn't finished...I'm on my tempermental netbook, as we are away right now...and it is "too" bad also you did not have the colors of Nemo..that would have been awesome...
ReplyDeleteI really love the hat! well done. Hoping you all stay safe. Perhaps its just me but I think it slightly silly to name a storm after a clown fish ?? This baffles me.
ReplyDeleteYour socks look lovely even if they were on temporary hold--I totally here you though, everything must be in sync and working order for me to ever think about working on a pair of socks. Your hat idea was brilliant and you whipped that baby up fast! The power of nature is awesome--and mighty to behold--that is a lot of erosion. I hope power is back on and stays on now for you.
