WIP/UFO?

Uhmmm.. well.. err.. stammer.. *cries in frustration*.. *pulls out hair*.. *pokes anyone too close with needles*..*throws needles in trash*.. *retrieves needles*..  and begins again..

and again.....

        and again...

                             and again....

                                                             and again...

so my WIP is a tangled mess!

and onto my UFO..(Unidentified Found Object).. I need to identify this, can't place it in the thrift shop unless I can label it!

It's a heavy metal..

                                       perhaps brass
the bar in the back slides..
and can be removed

the design on the
front seems to be a flower..
perhaps a poppy..

                                          the back is plain..

Anyone know what it is?

yeah...the quality of these pictures..well, suck..  I was a tad upset with knitting at the time..

 ahh..this is more like it!

  1. Hello, I think it's a pendulum of an old grandfather clock. ;-) I hope your knitting is more successful next week! Greetings from Germany.

  2. Good luck with the knitting! The four neddles looks difficult.

  3. DPNs are tricky to knit with but once you get the idea and can juggle the needles you will love it. It really freaks non-knitting people out too:)
    I'm with Terra. I think it's a pendulum.
The sunset photo is gorgeous. I wish I was sitting in the sand on a warm summer night...

  4. DPNs aren't easy. If it is just for practice try with 3 needles instead of 4 and lesser stitches. Just to get a feel for it first :)

  5. Not sure what you are trying to knit, but try it on a circular, I use magic loop so I can use a long needle. Good luck!

  6. I have no idea what that item is. I do understand your frustration when it comes to knitting. I can remember when I first taught myself. I would be out on my porch when the kids got home from school, and their chatter would get my focus off my work, and mess it up. I am a bit better know, but I would never knit around the kids after that.
