YOP2013

It's Sunday..It's 1 week since the blizzard named Nemo..and today..another storm..another 12 inches of snow..more hurricane force winds..even though it sounds the same, it is much different.  This snow is like baby powder...blows away with the winds..  On one side of the house I have nothing on the ground, on the other side is a 3 foot drift!

No power outages..

No broken trees..

No beach erosion..

but 3 feet of snow, still has to be moved!

*sigh*

For my YOP, I was able to cast on the Beaufort Hat.  It is an interesting pattern:

and I'm using wonderful Classic Cotton,

by Stacy Charles..

I have another project going...but I can't talk about it for fear of jinxing it...

                                             so shhhhh...

Hopefully everyone will enjoy the upcoming week..

  3. (whispered) looks very cute !!!

I sure hope the groundhogs were right about an early spring this year. Seems like the storms are coming weekly in time to mess up our Friday evening commute! I'm getting a bit tired of the 2-3 hour drives home :(

  4. Winter storms. They are so much fun. At least you have your knitting to keep you warm.

  7. Love the hat--and the white seems appropriate what with all the white weather. I hope things have settled down for you weather-wise and life is returning to normal. Everything else you are working on *wink* looks super great too!

  8. Oh man, just discovered your blog. I have such fond memories of cape cod. Can't believe how much snow you're getting. Looking forward to reading more through year of projects.

also love the hat and that it's knitted with cotton. It's like a snowflake hat.
