Friday!

I have finished the Beaufort Hat by Angela Hahn.  It is such a fun pattern to knit but it took me longer than most as I forgot round 3 several times...

but I made the med adult size and despite blocking...it fits as a skull beanie, not a true hat..

I will pass this one on and make another that fits and not be upset as, I repeat..  A fun, fun, pattern!
another hat that I get to put into the "ready to wear" bag is the Palidrome

When I'd have to rip out the Beaufort, I'd pick this up for a bit of easy no pattern knitting..

The cable is on the ribbing and the ribbing is the body..which makes it a unique and interesting looking hat..

I'll leave with pictures of Lecount's Hollow Beach..We lost 20 feet of the parking lot during the storm of last week...and now it is getting battered again..  The past 48 hours we have been beaten by hurricane and gale force winds, part of the same storm that left a lot of snow for some of you..it has been rain and wind for us...

A bit of the pavement juts over the cliff..

won't be here tomorrow..

Same with the sign and fence...it will probably wash up in Maine....

Sometimes the most beautiful in nature is the most deadly...

  1. I love your knitted hats. I agree about nature too, but your photos are very peaceful to look at.

  2. The hats are lovely! I hope you survive the storm. We're getting all snow (north of Boston) and it's really piling up:(

  3. The Beaufort hat looks lovely. Sometimes I just can't get a pattern to stick in my head and make the same mistake over and over again. At least you had some relief knitting :) Good luck with the storm. Nature is pretty awesome!
